Use your planner to record the agenda and homework at the beginning of class each day.
  1. Reading Warm-up B and Vocabulary Warm-up B (handouts)
    • Reading Warm-up
      • Teacher will read the Reading Warm-up aloud with class, stopping to discuss as necessary.
      • Students will then re-read the selection and complete the questions 1-8 in the margins.
    • Vocabulary Warm-up B
      • If time, review the instructions and complete 1-8.
  2. Scan for Vocabulary "Carry Your Own Skis"
    • Write and example for each of the words.
  3. Meet the Author: "Carry Your Own Skis" by Lian Dolan
      • LB p. 521: Write name of author and title of selection, write two facts about the author you found
        interesting and why you chose these two facts.
